Experts determine age of the Voynich Manuscript

One of my favorite unsolved mysteries in the Voynich Manuscript, a book no one has decoded thus far.  It was the primary mcguffin in Colin Wilson’s The Return of the Lloigor where it was discovered to be an original version of the dread Necronomicon.

Now scientists have been able to carbon date the book, giving it an approximate age somewhere in the early 15th century, nearly a hundred years older than many scholars originally believed.  While it does nothing to directly solve the mystery of the book, at least now historians have a proper time period to look at when trying to determine the author of the work.
