Google celebrates Jorge Luis Borges

Today, August 24, is the birthday of Jorge Luis Borges, one of my favorite authors, and Google has decided to honor him with a Google Doodle on the Google main page today.  Borges would be 112 this year.

I’ve previously written about Borges’s story, The Library of Babel, which is one of the top topics on The Mask.  It’s a very thoughtful, somewhat creepy story about a universe that’s nothing but a giant library filled with books.  I think the Google Doodle may refer mostly to this story, which is one of his most famous.
